Ruiz Memorial Keynote Speaker
The Ruiz Memorial Keynote Lecture will be given by Derek Steinbacher MD, DMD, FACS, former Director of the Cleft and Craniofacial Program, and former Chief of Maxillofacial / Orthognathic Surgery at Yale University School of Medicine. He will talk about advances in cleft orthognathic surgery as well as fat grafting in cleft lip repair.
Having trained as both a dentist and a plastic and reconstructive surgeon, Dr. Steinbacher is uniquely qualified to perform complex craniofacial surgery, including cleft lip and palate surgery, facial procedures for Crouzon and Apert syndromes, genetic diseases that affect the formation of the face and skull, as well as jaw (or orthognathic) surgery to correct structural defects of the jaw and face.

The FCPA invites you to submit an abstract for presentation at our 62nd Annual Meeting, June 22, 2024, at the Gaylord Palms Resort in Kissimmee. The FCPA will award a prize for best abstract at this year’s meeting. Submission guidelines will be available soon, so stay tuned for details.
