Provenance Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc

This wine captures the flavor profile of Sauvignon Blanc grapes grown in the Rutherford AVA, in the center of Napa Valley. We aged the wine sur lie (on the yeast lees) for creamy nuances and texture. Semillon, for melon notes and a silky mouthfeel, completed the blend. Our favorite pairings include fresh greens with warmed goat cheese, sautéed scallops, grilled fish or chicken, and angel hair pasta with basil pesto.

Stags Leap Winery Petite Sirah

Petite Sirah is a varietal that is enhanced by the deliberate diversity of SLW’s vineyard sites. Grapes from the vineyards located on the estate’s deep, rocky soils make up the backbone of this Napa Valley Petite Sirah. Carefully selected fruit from northern vineyards in Calistoga and St. Helena and southern vineyards in Oakville, Oak Knoll, and Coombsville are added to intensify and broaden the wine’s profile to include floral, spice, and fruit characteristics.

92 Points

“Wow. Plenty of richness and depth of fruit with blackberry, blueberry, and walnut character. It’s full and flavorful. Not for the faint-hearted, but very real and typical for this bold grape. Drink now.” – James Suckling, May 2020

3-Bottle Shipment

The 3-Bottle Selection includes both wines listed above plus the following:

Beaulieu Vineyard Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon

Rutherford is the heart of Napa Valley and home to Beaulieu Vineyard. For more than 20 years, our winemakers have crafted our Cabernet Sauvignon, which defines the unique expression of our Rutherford vineyards with rich dark berry and cocoa, accented by well-integrated oak spices for a long finish.

90 Points

“The nose comes bounding out of the glass with upfront scents of baked plums, chocolate-covered cherries and crème de cassis with hints of bay leaves, tobacco leaf, vanilla pod and Chinese five spice. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is well-crafted, featuring plush tannins and tons of freshness to support the ripe, spicy black fruit flavors, finishing with an herbal lift.” – Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW – Wine Advocate

4-Bottle Shipment

The 4-Bottle Selection includes the three wines listed above plus the following:

Sterling Vineyards Carneros Rosé of Syrah

Rose is now well established as a wine to enjoy year-round, both as an aperitif and with a wide array of popular foods. This Syrah Rose is distinctive for its somewhat weightier style, with expressive aromas of ripe red fruit layered with floral notes of Rose petal and violets. Flavors mimic the aromas, with notes of pomegranate and spice shining through.

Syrah from the Winery Lake vineyard near the di Rosa Art Preserve provides fruit for this Rose. The vineyard, nearby San Pablo Bay, has a touch of virus and struggles in the shallow, low-nutrient Haire and Diablo soils of heavy clay and volcanic rock from the Mayacamas range. A touch of minerality is present.

Fruit was picked during cool early morning hours and sent direct to press with an eye toward managing tannins and the beautiful pink hues of color.
